Description

An original CBS UK 1st mono press from 1966. Matrix A1/B1. Please note the labels are textured and the speed is given in large font "33". The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover printed by Dawson Rossiter. We also have the original CBS advertising inner sleeve [correct sleeves on show]. So, we're 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In marvellous condition and has clearly only seen the lightest use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. And on a genuine '66 Byrds Lp that is impressive...Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A super rendition in everyway - the mono cut is absolutely fantastic...BOLD! 8 Mile is like - way cool. Haven't heard it like this before....Hardly any background observable at all - it plays clean as a whistle throughout these, often, very fussy acoustic tracks. Love it!
Cover (Ex) Now, you don't often see these original mid-sixties covers looking this tidy. A lovely flat front without signs of fade, or any creasing at all really. The rear would nearly in all cases exhibit some ageing. But this example is actually white and has pretty much avoided the ageing process. Flipbacks ALL intact and secure. The only slightest fault is a little scuff on that bottom flipback. Hardly any edge wear and firm openings. The spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex-) A one inch bottom edge split has been taped up. But there's precious little ageing.
