The Business beautifully preserved piece of history – 2 LP set This is the near impossible to find 2 LP set of the Business - including their top 40 LP
A gem of an item ..... the 2 discs are overall in very good condition - a few marks but nothing major however the main reason for this being so collectable is the item itself. Seldom do punk bands issue double LPs (The Business and the Clash!) - this is a great collectors item. The sleeve likewise in excellent condition, though just noticed a small cut / tear above the BU in suburban and small rip on opening on other side (See photos).

I will also add I am not a dealer- just a guy who is clearing out his own collection as well so whilst I have experience of record collecting I am no professional! Because this is only a hobby as well I grade at night under a bulb – sometimes I don’t see things I might notice in natural (Sun) light. So sometimes it is not marks but the angle of the light – other times the picture doesn’t always pick up lighter surface marks! (I will always endeavour to answer specific questions as well!)
COMMENTS ::
QUESTIONS : As with all these LPS especially that i am selling - please do not hesitate to contact me with any specific questions, however trivial or specific. I will try and answer them as clearly, in detail and also as honestly as possible.
Condition. : I take a great deal of effort in describing these items in as much detail as possible. I am also as accurate as possible. Obviously I dont have the time or ability (or in some cases the desire!) to listen to these LPs. So grading is visual.
REFUNDS: With my LPs only however please be clear - I do not accept people contacting me after auctions to ask for partial refunds when i have tried to give as much detail as possible. Happy to refund in full upon return of item - return post paid by buyer (except where i am factually wrong obviously). This is not personal - just from experience I have had 2 people contact to say they want partial refund or will leave bad feedback! Thats just blackmail as well as horrible!!
I try to be as accurate as possible and use the below system as closely as possible -
GRADING SYSTEM:
M Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.
Ex Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
Vg VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
G GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
F FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
P POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
B BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
