Description

A 1st Pressing of PARANOID on the UK Vertigo label. Matrix 1/1. Please note the label includes the large Vertigo logo above the spindle hole which is indicative of 1st issue. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover without the BEAR credit. Also included is the original Spiral inner sleeve date coded to Sep-1970 - the month of 1st release. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) Truly stunning condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks - nothing troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. These Vertigo copies are the defacto route for best audio - absolutely superb! Interference is minimal. All we detected was a touch of light static in a couple of isolated moments. Even the quiet tracks play clean...C-L-E-A-N... Crank it! An undisputed classic from Sabbath and this sort of rendition does it the justice it deserves.
Cover (Ex) In great condition and has clearly been looked after down the years. That black cover is a real difficult find in top condition. This copy is way above average - with little fading to the black front or back. The only vaguely noticeable defects are a tiny mark in the top-middle of the rear and a tiny abrasion top-left of the vertigo logo. The interior is pretty much immaculate. Edge wear is light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and I think you'd be hard pushed to find a better original copy.
Inner (Ex) A couple of age spots, but no splits.
