IF YOU ARE A STICKLER, THIS COPY IS NOT FOR YOU. There are definite surface marks that will cause
surface noise and pops & clicks and the cover & lyric sleeve have heavy wear.
PLAY TESTED! I RECENTLY PLAYED THIS LP AND IT STILL SOUNDS GREAT AND PLAYS ALL THE THROUGH WITHOUT SKIPS, but you will hear surface noise and pops & clicks.
This is the VERY RARE original / vintage 1990 LP. This LP is getting harder to find as vinyl was being phased out in the late 1980s for the CD age.
Up for sale is one(1) The Black Crowes - Shake Your Money Maker first pressing LP from 1990 on DEF American Records (# DEF 24278). Includes the custom inner lyric sleeve. Has the ARTISAN symbol stamped in the deadwax on both sides signaling a high quality mastering.This is the first pressing and does not list Rick Rubin as an executive producer. He was later credited on the sleeve, only after the album became successful.
The vinyl is in Good condition, but has surface marks that will cause surface noise and pops & clicks typical with a good grading. The surface marks do not cause any skips. Even with a GOOD grading there is going to be a certain amount of surface noise. More noticible during the quiet parts.
PLAY TESTED! I recently played this LP and it still sounds GREAT! (especially cranked up!)
Nice fairly clean labels with some spindle marks.
The cover is in GOOD condition but has some issues. Most of it is typical wear from age, including, but not limited to corner dings, scrapes, creases and ring wear etc.... However, there is peeling on the top, bottom & spine that has led to a split seams.
The custom inner sleeve is in Fair condition, with the following issues: a large sized split seam on the bottom and a medium sized split on both sides. On one side there is also a split stemming from the top opening. There is a tear stemming from the side opening that can be taped back together as all pieces are still there, but I'm leaving it as-is.
And there are crumples, creases, small tears and ring wear typical with age.
The LP is now being housed in a plain white inner sleeve.
I obtained this item sometime in the early 1990s. It was played many times back in the day. Not played in many years.
I am thinning out my collection. Many of my listings sell with "BEST OFFERS"! Or "BUY IT NOW" if you think this is a good price!
