Description
1957 Chess Records 1427, this is an original mono pressing - NOT a reissue - of the incredibly scarce Muddy Waters LP "The Best of Muddy Waters". This pressing has the black Chess labels with the silver print and "deep groove". Laminated cover is about VG+++/NM-; there is a hint of corner wear and an old name lable from the original owner on the back, but otherwise it is in super condition. Vinyl is shiny VG+/VG++. There are some paper swirl marks and surface marks on either side, along with a couple of small scratches on side 2. Sound quality is still very solid throughout, while labels are crisp with no spindle wear. First and probably the last original of this one I will come across and, overall, a nice copy of this hard to find blues LP. Buyer pays $6.50 shipping in the US, $13.00 airmail overseas.
