THE ROLLING STONES - 'THE BEST OF THE ROLLING STONES'
This unique German compilation was issued by the 'Deutscher Schallplattenclub' (German Record Club) in 1966
The disc has burgundy red & gold Decca labels with the catalogue number: BD 1080-C
Machine stamped matrix numbers: LPD-011500-X & LPD-011501-X
Vinyl weight: 151g
The disc is housed within a fully laminated German printed cover

Labels: EXCELLENT +
Both are clean with a small collection of light spindle trails around each unworn centre hole but no damage or wear to any of the delicate gold print.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Extremely clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces which apart from a single moderate 1.5cm surface mark on side 2 display no significant blemishes in strong daylight. Closer examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals a small number of light paper/stylus hairlines but nothing major.
Sound Quality: VERY GOOD +
Wonderful warm & clean sound quality with no trace of any groove/playwear distortion on any track or either channel. My play-check detected a few soft ticks at the end of 'Heart Of Stone & 'The Last Time'. The aforementioned mark on side 2 produces some pops at the beginning of 'What A Shame' and finally there are 2 tick at the end of 'Empty Heart'. Despite these minor audible blemishes this is a very enjoyable and clean sounding set which will not disappoint.
Cover: VERY GOOD +
A highly respectable example of this fragile cover which bears the usual age-toning all over but is otherwise free from any significant or major signs of wear. There is some light shelfwear to the corners & opening edge but no tears or splits anywhere.
The spine has slight wear to the wording but both upper & lower seams are still fully intact
