Vinyls: VG+  Shiny, glossy, light spindle marks. Side Two has a rub at the beginning of the first track. Sides One & Four labels not completely smooth by hole. Original inner sleeves, one is wrinkled.

Gatefold Cover: VG+  Clean, no writing, no splits; corner bumps, some edge wear, title edge OK, slight ring wear; 2 in. separation on bottom edge is not a split, just needs to be reglued.

Live! at the Star-Club in Hamburg, Germany; 1962 is a Double Album featuring live performances by The Beatles, recorded in late December 1962 at the Star-Club during their final Hamburg residency. The album was released in 1977 in two different versions, comprising a total of 30 songs by The Beatles.

The performances were recorded on a home tape machine using a single microphone, resulting in a low fidelity recording. Ted "Kingsize" Taylor began to investigate possible marketing of the tapes in 1973. The tapes were eventually bought by Paul Murphy and subjected to elaborate audio processing to improve the sound, leading to the 1977 album.

The album provides historic insight into the group's club act in the period after Ringo Starr joined but before the emergence of Beatlemania. The Beatles were unsuccessful in legally blocking the initial release of the album; the recordings were reissued in many forms until 1998, when The Beatles were awarded full rights to the performances.

The Star-Club was a music club in Hamburg, Germany that opened April 13, 1962. In the sixties, many of the giants of rock music played there. The club closed on December 31, 1969, and the building it occupied was destroyed by a fire in 1987. The address in Hamburg area St. Pauli was: Große Freiheit 39; Große Freiheit is a side street of the Reeperbahn.

The club achieved worldwide renown through the famous performances of the Beatles who played there April 13, 1962 - May 31, 1962 and another round of performances November 1, 1962 - December 31, 1962 which marked their last performance at the club. - from Wikipedia
