The Beatles' 'Revolver' album is very special and my personal favorite of all their releases.  In 1966, no other band had CONSISTENTLY released one great studio Lp after another. That The Beatles did, amidst the non-stop touring and  whirlwind of  publicity surounding them, is nothing short of miraculous.  The emerging  sophistication in the group's  songwriting (Eleanor Rigby, I'm Only Sleeping) was becoming very evident.  In addition, their recording techniques were also evolving. None more so than on John Lennon's 'Tomorrow Never Knows'.  Lennon's vocals were fed through a Leslie speaker (more often used with the Hammond organ) as Lennon wanted his voice to sound as though it were coming from a Tibetan hilltop! 

This 1st Stereo UK pressing delivers audio the way it was meant to be heard. No digital enhancements, no "digital cleaning" or other marketing ploys. From the very first notes heard on Harrison's 'Taxman', you know something's different. The equalization, the separation of the instruments and vocal detail is astonishing.  I have NEVER heard this album sound so perfect.  Moreover, the condition of this record is almost beyond belief. I am offering this record for all those collectors who have been searching for the ultimate vinyl copy of this masterpiece. Who are tired of being duped by sellers who over-grade and expect you to put up with something that belongs in the trash can. Forget about whether or not it says 'Doctor' instead of 'Dr' on the label.  The audio is my first priority and as far as that is concerned, this copy  will surpass all your expectations. Believe me, this is a real gem.

Condition of Lp Jacket: Near Mint....a few inoffensive creases on the front(top left)...but certainly nothing serious. The back is nearly flawless with flipbacks intact and clean. Perfect spine....a truly beautiful example of an award-winning album cover. (Designed by Klaus Voorman, a German who had befriended The Beatles when they were playing in the clubs of Hamburg during the early '60s)

Condition of Original Inner-Sleeve: Near Mint....some age discoloration and creases, but no rips, splits or stains. 3 miniscule numbers, barely visible written in ball point to bottom of one side.

Condition of Record: Near Mint/Mint...exceptional...with only 3 or 4 "ticks" heard during 'Eleanor Rigby' and a couple of inoffensive ones heard at the very, very end (during fadeout) of the 1st side....That's it!!!  Plays with virtually no surface noise.  Almost unbelievable for a record of this vintage.
