Description
This auction is for an early issue "Please Please Me" vinyl LP by The Beatles - Parlophone Records PMCJ 1202 - mono South African issue.
This was issued in 1963 approximately the same time the UK version was issued. Song listings are the same as the LP with 14 songs.
The cover is laminated. There is some creasing and bending that is common with this types of cover. Grades G+.
Also includes the baggy from the record store it was purchased at in South Africa (last two pictures).
The vinyl, in particular side 1 (see photo), has scratches and scuffs. Incredibly, this record played through with no skips on my turntable after being played four times. Yes, you can hear the crackle sounds where the scratches are, but no skipping. Vinyl actually sounds pretty darn good!! Visually grades fair.
The labels are the early issue black with silver. "Pressed in SA Under Direction of The Parlophone Co., Ltd" is above the rim print.
Side 1 dead wax reads XEX 421; side 2 XEX 422.
PAYMENT MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN 5 DAYS OF THE END OF THE AUCTION.
Buyer pays $7 for shipping and handling. Combined shipping is available.
