Description

A chance to own a nice all round copy of the classic Beatles White Album (1968) in its full glory!
It's the complete set featuring a top opening cover, black inner sleeves, four photos and a poster. All parts are original.
The album is numbered 540,768.

It is in good / very good all round condition for a 50+ year old record. Definitely a collection keeper. This is from my own collection and a reluctant sale for me. I bought it from its original owner about 7 or 8 years ago, so technically it's had two careful owners from new!!
I'll give as honest a breakdown here as I can so you know what you're getting:
The cover is very good for its age ... sturdy and strong, clear spine and no knocks or bumps etc. It does have some feathering / wear around the top opening section (as expected) and very some light ring wear front and back but, overall, a good example. The inside gatefold, opened up, particularly, is very good.
Disc 1 has lovely clean labels. Same very good appearance for disc 2.
The vinyl, visually, on every side does have a number of light hairline marks and scuffs. But nothing too deep or major. They've been well looked after over the years, but obviously listened to. I've checked the album through and it played fine on my machine - except for one stick on Ob-la-di Ob-la-da (not a disaster some might say!!) however, you might have better luck on a higher quality machine (mine is an old 80s Sony hifi) and a professional clean.
The four stills are good, no tears or blu-tac marks or anything, just a little expected wear to the edges (mainly to George). The poster is good too, no major splits or anything, just the usual light handling wear.
The black inners are very good for their age, no splits just the usual creasing to the edges and slight tears around the label (these were made very fragile).
Overall then, I'd say this is a good - and in some places very good - example of a much sought after legendary album. I've been a collector for years and this is definitely among the better conditioned copies I've seen. It's not perfect, but for its age it is nice.
