THIS AUCTION IS FOR THE COMPLETE SET OF (13) THIRTEEN ALBUMS/14 FOURTEEN LP's THAT MAKE UP THE COMPILATION OF THE 1978 "The Beatles collection." ~(Blue Box Set)~
This Set was made in Australia under the EMI/Parlophone Orange Label; 4 of the Albums are on the (AU) Apple Label

This UK album includes two German songs!
Late December '78 ~ April '79

"Australian Parlophone put together a domestic version of 'The Beatles collection' using the Australian editions of 'With the Beatles' on the (Parlophone PCSO 3045) and 'Beatles For Sale' on (Parlophone PCSO 3062). Both bear Cover Art unique to Australia. This set also included 'Rarities' and, because it was mastered by Australian Parlophone, She's A Woman, Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand, and This Boy,
were all pressed in true stereo."

"Rarities was put on the EMI label and the back cover said, "Sampler Album - Not For Sale."

The Box had a Lift-Off Top

CONDITION: ENTIRE SET

The Boxed Set has been stored since its 1978-79 release. Upon taking it out of storage, the original wrap had crackled and split; the disheveled wrap was taken off for content inspection.
It was discovered that the the box is fully intact; however, the top/lid appears that pressure may had been applied, as it shows moderate indentation around the inner top perimeter. This may be reversed by putting an 'old album' in the top and applying pressure with a weighty object.
 The overall structure of the
top and bottom of the box is EXTREMELY STURDY ~ FULLY INTACT.

♦There is one noteable blemish on the top, located near the bottom, an indentation that has only affected the top layer; the mark DID NOT penetrate the box.
It is our opinion, that the specs of this original box were drawn up a bit too large.
The inner lid shows some blue residual color, apparently due to processing/manufacturing.

The "PHOTO" Inner Sleeves are in excellent condition. Only a few sleeves show minimal pigment loss, which may have occurred during over-seas shipping. (Again, the size of the box may have allowed the inner contents to move.) The blue "Rarities" sleeve, as shown in the photos, displays the most pigment loss. The other sleeves show only minimal loss, if any. Also, album rings,
if any, are minimal and not clearly defined.

WE HAVE PLACED EACH ALBUM IN NEW PLASTIC PROTECTIVE SLEEVES, TO HALT THE CONTENTS FROM FURTHER SLIDING.

The actual EMI-Parlophone/Apple albums are
Near Mint +++. They are still wrapped in their slightly frosted, see-through light plastic protective covers. Only one LP was taken out
for close inspection.

Album Identification numbers were attained by viewing the Photo Covers. If the number was not visible on its Cover, the LP's were viewed through the see-through covers by bringing
just the labels into view, while still in their covers.
"PLEASE PLEASE ME" BY ASKING QUESTIONS!!!

As a former Manager
of one of the most popular music stores of the 1970's,
"PEACHES RECORDS & TAPES,"
I became a Devout Collector of ALL MUSIC related Items: Hundreds of PROMOTIONAL Posters--(I had a talent to create award winning Promotional In-Store and Window Displays); therefore, I claimed ownership of un-used posters, album-art and memorabilia. (More than 3,000 Albums): many promos, autographed LP's, Imports,
and the majority of the LP's are still sealed, hundreds of PS 45's--many promos and rare "Test Pressings, hundreds of concert ticket-stubs, photos of myself with various band members who regularly attended Promotional Parties at our store, concert photos captured by a professional photographer and part-time employee (who accompanied me at numerous concerts), and other rare music memorabilia items make up our extensive collection.

We'll only grade Near Mint, if warranted, due to the 30-40 vintage years of our items. As collectors know, many Promotional Albums are received from the various distributors before initial manufacturing runs; therefore, the promos may not be shrink-wrapped. As avid collectors, we immediately made sure that we covered all of our albums in protective plastic sleeves.
Also: Imports were often received open; however, the practice of receiving imports often included loosely sealed shrink-wrapped albums so that price stickers could be attached, as well as the already affixed Country of Origin "Import" Labels.

If there should be any defects or flaws,

we'll note it in our description.

Again, "PLEASE PLEASE ME," if you have ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS; kindly contact us at your convenience--PRIOR TO BIDDING!
