Description
I am selling an original 2nd state unpeeled "Butcher Cover" version of the LP "Yesterday and Today" by The Beatles. Released by Capitol Records in the U.S.A., catalog #ST 2553 Stereo. The cover is in VG++ to excellent shape overall and features the "trunk cover" artwork with original "butcher cover" underneath. Front cover is remarkably clean with the exception of some light staining along the edge in the bottom right hand corner, along with the beginnings of a small seam split. On the left hand side at the bottom you can see a fraction of an inch of the original "butcher cover" artwork, and Ringo's black vest is visible underneath the white area of the paste-on cover if you look closely. Back cover has some mild signs of light staining / handling on the left edge, but is otherwise in excellent shape with no noticeable wear to top edge and spine. Vinyl is excellent and labels are near mint! Includes original Capitol Records inner sleeve which has some modest shelf wear. Please see photos of back cover and labels for more details. Back cover has a small number 5 printed in the bottom right hand corner next to the RIAA seal.
