The Beatles Yesterday and TodaySecond State Butcher Cover
Up for grabs is this copy of The Beatles album Yesterday and Today, 2nd state butcher cover. This is the even more scarce stereo press, pressed in Los Angeles, California, making this an ideal candidate for a peel.
This copy was pasted over at a larger angle/tilt than most. You can clearly see the original color for about five inches along the top left.
Ringo's V-Neck is easy to see.
The cover is in overall G+ condition. The original owner drew mustaches on the front cover photos. The back of the cover has writing and some staining. See close-up photos.
I took a flashlight and looked inside the cover. It does not appear that the top right stain on the back went through the back cover. There is no indication of moisture going all the way through the cover. So, it did not go onto the front.
I looked closely at the ink on the front. It was lightly applied. When I hold the cover at an angle, there is no indent like a ball point pen might do. The exception is on Paul's eyes. Paul's eyes have been darkened by ink. I could not feel any indent with my finger and fingernails on Paul's face. It remains smooth on all four mustaches. In my opinion, no ink soaked through. The vinyl itself is a very high VG+, with a glossy surface and minimal to no sleeve scuffs. Comes in the original Capitol Records inner sleeve.
