Description
You are looking at a genuine, 100% real Beatles Yesterday and Today 2nd state Butcher pasteover. This one has all the tell tale signs: Ringo's black v neck is clearly visible to the right of the trunk, it is less wide than non-butcher covers (12 3/16" to be exact), it has the number 6 by the RIAA logo, etc. As you can see in the pictures, someone tried to peel the pasteover off in a few areas. You can see in the lower right hand corner that this attempted peeling has revealed Ringo's black pants and some of the baby parts, which is even more definitive proof that this is in fact a Butcher pasteover.
I am not a professional record grader, so I will try to be as descriptive of the condition as possible. First, there are four areas where someone has tried unsuccessfully to remove the pasteover. Only in two small areas (about an inch total) has this attempted peel actually removed some of the Butcher cover. Everywhere else the Butcher cover is completely intact. Second, the spine is completely split and there is about a 1.5" split on the bottom seam. The top seam is completely intact. Third, the cover has the normal yellowing from age and the back shows some light ring wear and aging. The record itself grades a Goldmine "Good", meaning that it will play without skips, but there will be significant surface noise. Sorry, I do not have the original inner sleeve.
