Description
Hello there and welcome to my auction. Please read my descriptions carefully before you bid. Please make sure you read everything especially the condition of each vinyl. The grading and criteria are below.
This is an auction for: The Beatles – Yellow Submarine – RARE Original MONO Vinyl LP album from 1969.
First Pressing.
MONO – PMC 7070
Front Laminated Flip- back sleeve.
Has the correct red lines above and below the rear sleeve notes.
Matrix Numbers:
Side 1: YEX 715 - 1
Side 2: YEX 716 - 1
Vinyl Condition: G (The record has light marks and light scratches and light hairlines etc but plays great and is fully tested. No sticks or jumps. There are some clicks and pops in places but nothing major and there is very little crackle. There is a slight stress mark visible towards the inner side of the vinyl which may be from storage over the years but is nothing horrendous. On side 2 the stress mark causes very light continuous ticks for the second half of the record. It isn’t intrusive but is there. It looks like a slight indentation on side 1 and slightly raised on side 2. It may well have been like this when it was made but again is nothing horrendous. I am being very picky really but I believe in being thorough. Overall very nice playback and is a pleasure to listen to).
Inner Sleeve Condition: VG (Inner sleeve has some signs of handling and has some creases and folds but is otherwise ok for its age).
Outer Sleeve Condition: G (The front laminated flip-back sleeve has several heavy creases to the top right corner where it has been bashed & bent at some point. It looks a bit crumpled really but is ok. The creases affect both sides and are very visible. There are also several large creases to the bottom right corner as well which also affects the reverse side. There are some other creases in places creases and the odd yellow mark to the back but overall is ok).
I grade my vinyl’s as follows:
M = Mint: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Unplayed and sealed records are referred to as Mint.
Ex = Excellent: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is no lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have minimal wear and/or creasing.
VG = Very Good: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects.
G = Good: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.
Fair = The record shows signs of extensive play and may have many marks and deep scratches but will still play ok but with significantly lower sound quality. Artwork will be rather worn with possible splits, small rips, scrapes, dents, or maybe water damage.
