This classic Beatles album is the very rare and hard to find in any decent condition Decca contracted album. Due to overwhelming demand some of these copies were contracted out to different pressing plants and this copy is one of them! You can tell this by the fact that there are no stamper letters G or D on the matrix number and the label has a circular impression 15mm from the outer edge.(This should be picked up in the photo.)

I have played this album through a couple of times and it plays really well with barely any crackle. It has one flaw - on'Till there was you'. I have noticed that occasionally, right at the end of the track, it sticks. I have played it through 20 times and it stuck twice! I think the vinyl has a slight flaw the size of a pin head and that when it is cleaned a certain way it will stick. However, I think that this does not really detract from the play of this album as it sounds superb! Normally, these records were totally wrecked as they went to 60s parties! The vinyl has a nice sheen to it, one or two minor hairlines and a couple of paper scuffs that do not affect play. I would grade the vinyl VG++++ and you won't be disappointed!

The labels have no writing, rips or tears and only slight spindle wear.

The cover has a slight ring mark to the front, slight scuffs to the corners and edges, one or two finger marks to the side opening and the spine is in excellent condition. The rear of the cover has slight browning to the edges but has generally kept its whiteness. Overall, an excellent cover for this fine rarity - that is becoming increasingly hard to find in any decent condition.
