Description

The Beatles - With The Beatles
I am pleased to offer for sale this exceptional STEREO UK 1st pressing of The Beatles 2nd studio album, With the Beatles.
This particular copy was produced and sold between 1965-1969. And whomever bought it originally clearly cherished the record as it remains in fantastic as-new condition. I see a lot of records and very few of them look and sound like this one. It is a true final upgrade, archival quality record.
Album Details:
Serial number: PCS 3045
Matrix number: YEX 110 - 2 / YEX 110 - 2
Stamper codes: 3 RA / 2 MG
Tax Codes: KT
Vinyl Weight: 170g

The matrix numbers inform us that the record is a true UK first pressing (no -1/-1 stereo records were sold). The mother & stamper codes suggest that the vinyl was pressed using stamper plates produced early in the life of the mother plates. Consequently, the audio has superb definition and clarity. Take a listen yourself below!
The vinyl has the 4th variant black and yellow Parlophone labels produced from 1965-1969. This identifiable by the absence of the "Recording first Published..." text from either side.
This front side laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flip-back sleeve is the third variant with small-sized solid 'STEREO' aural indicator text to the front side.
The album is complete with the original polythene lined die-cut Emitex 'protect your records' inner sleeve.
Condition:
The condition report provided below is given as a guide only. I include high-quality, comprehensive photographs as well as a complete audio recording in my listings to enable you to make an informed decision on the condition of this record yourself. Please use a desktop PC/laptop and make use of the zoom function to inspect the photographs closely.
Vinyl: MINT -
Labels: MINT -
The labels are bright, clean and without writing. No spindle wear is evident.
Visual: MINT -
The vinyl retains immaculate 'factory-fresh' deep-gloss playing surfaces. In bright daylight there are no visible surface marks. Underneath a halogen desk lamp a few barely visible wispy hairlines can be seen alongside a sparkling rainbow shine. Truly outstanding.
Sound Quality: MINT -
Please use eBay's internet site to enjoy the audio clips. The eBay app does not facilitate playback.
Side 1:

Side 2:

As can be heard in the recordings, the heavy-weight vinyl sounds simply superb. The record has clearly only ever been played on good quality equipment. The lead-ins are quiet. There is minimal static in between tracks. The record plays with distinction and clarity throughout. The bass is punchy, the vocals are crisp and clear and the instrumentation is well defined. It's great.
Sleeve: MINT -
The sleeve looks fantastic. The front laminate retains the original lustre and the cover art maintains vibrant, deep colours. The rear is immaculate. All four corners are crisp and sharp. The top, bottom and opening edges along with the spine are without any wear. Truly a final upgrade.
Inner Sleeve: MINT-
Rarely do I grade inner sleeves as MINT-. Although not perhaps the most important part of the LP it demonstrates the care and attention that this record has received throughout its nearly 60 year lifespan.

Additional Details:
Before the audio test, the vinyl was cleaned first by an Okki Nokki vacuum cleaner (using L'art du Son cleaning solution) and then an Audio Desk ultrasonic cleaner.
After cleaning, the vinyl is housed inside a brand new mobile fidelity anti-static inner sleeve.
The vinyl will be packaged outside of the sleeve, both of which are stored inside an archival quality polypropylene outer sleeve.
The record will be sent via an insured courier in a padded vinyl mailer.
