Excellent + sound quality (Playtested 4th July 2007)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Excellent + (less than a handful or so of very light superficial hairline marks over both sides of the record, side 1 is actually mainly unmarked and free from any serious surface marks whatsover, there are 5 or so superficial surface marks but as said above these are mainly on side 2, these are barely noticeable though, side 1 is beautiful, the superficial marks do not affect playback in any way, there is not a deep raised scratch in sight of any significance, the record is exceptionally clean and as said before the surface is mainly unmarked, there may be a few tiny hairlines and a few paper scuffs/traces from the inner sleeve under bright light but generally the record is exceptionally clean, looks to have been played on a few occasions by looking at spindle marks but it has been looked after and cared for extremely well, very clean record, labels are very clean with no rips/tears to the label, there is some slight wear around the spindle holes so it does indicate that is has been spun but it has been treasured, nice sheen to the record)

Album Cover Grade: Excellent+ (no major creasing to the front corners, no major creasing to the rear corners apart from a slight bottom right corner crease, no spine splits but there is some slight rubbing right on the centre of the spine, no rips or tears in the sleeve, no top or bottom edge splits, no spine/top edge/bottom edge rubbing/wear apart from the aforementioned, minimal corner rubbing, just slight ringwear on the front and back that is noticeable, no laminate lifting or laminate peeling, there is no pen marks/writing on the sleeve either, hardly any discolouration/staining on the unlaminated rear and it is still quite white and clean, overall a very nice sleeve)

Record Collector 2008 Price Guide Book Price: £40 Mint

All records are graded in complete honesty and with the utmost scrutiny. All records listed have been playtested by me and will not jump, stick, or skip in any way. I have been collecting records now for approximately 12 years and have amassed quite a collection and have decided now is the time to reduce the collection in size. The quality of items listed generally varies but most of the time will be in Excellent condition or thereabouts. If it higher or lower than Excellent then it will be mentioned in full detail in the grading section above. Most of the records that will be listed will be from the 1950's, 1960's and early 1970s. The genre's will vary from prog rock, soul, reggae, rock n roll, beat, pop, psych. I will not be offering any classical records for sale though. I have some huge rarities in my collection and all will be up for sale at some point in the next year or so. Please be confident when buying from me as i have many positive feedback comments left for me and I have been trading on ebay for over 3 years. If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to ask. Please also click on 'View seller's other items' on the right hand side of the page to see what i have on offer. All the pictures you see in the listings are taken with my own digital camera and my scanner. They will be 100% representitive of what you will be purchasing from me. Good Luck !

All auction start prices will reflect the condition and rarity of the album and its current rough value in the current marketplace.

MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
