Description

Artist: The Beatles

Title: With The Beatles (The Beatles Forever)

The Beatles "Forever series" ran beween 1972 to 1976 and is characterised by the dark green "obi strip" with the Apple logo at the top and The Beatles Forever at the bottom. Lavishly packaged with an intergral 8 page booklet and pressed on high quality vinyl. This is the duophonic "stereo" mix and is totally different from the recently remastered version. The vinyl is in near mint condition and the sleeve is not far behind with only a couple of minor flaws: the staples holding the pages together are rusty (see photo) and there is some very minor darker marks towards the top of two pages of the booklet - they are barely perceptable. These Japanese issues ooze quality. This issue has been long out of print.

Please note that I have tried to identify any possible minor shortcomings on the photographs. Along with the following details, I have tried to provide sufficient information for you to make an informed choice regarding bidding. Money back guarantee.

Why buy Japanese vinyl records?

Japanese vinyl releases are premium quality pressings, much sought after by audiophiles and collectors alike. Japanese pressings are synonymous with quality - the vinyl shines like no other vinyl - everything about their releases feels special. The sonic quality of Japanese pressings is considered to be among the best in the world and, in addition, they are beautifully presented, their covers usually printed on better quality heavy stock paper and often including a bonus lyric insert with dual language Japanese & English text. Nearly all Japanese LPs were issued with an ‘obi’ - literally translated this means ‘sash’ and is derived from the obi (sash) worn around the traditional kimono dress. This delicate paper strip, usually wrapped around the left side of the album cover, often contains marketing information and album content details, all printed in Japanese kanji and katakana script. Obi designs can be as varied as the LPs they adorn, and some series of obi designs can be as collectable as the artist’s albums they decorate. Obis make a unique, attractive addition to the overall package and are becoming increasingly rare, especially on LPs from the 1960s and 70s. Their delicate and disposable nature meant that very early obis were routinely discarded, so that now they can often be worth several times more than the record they accompany. Regardless of your musical taste, Japanese records make a stunning addition to any collection. Audibly and visually they present the collector with a feast of delights. Japanese records, complete with inserts and obi, are becoming rarer every day. Whatever the digital age throws at you there is still a valid opinion that says vinyl sounds best; with Japanese records you get top quality pressings, a tactile picture sleeve that looks stunning and you can sing along from the lyric insert. This is the real alternative to a download!

A bit about me:

It was 1960: I was eight. My cousin joined the Air Force and gave me his collection of 45’s: a great selection including Elvis and Buddy Holly. Usurping the family Dansette, I became well and truly hooked. By 1964/5 I was also seeing some of my favourite artist live. At the age of 11 I joined by first band playing music on and off over the subsequent years that also gave me experience of working in recording studios. Music is in my blood.
Over the last few years I have been selling on EBay and Amazon and accrued feedback that reflects a commitment to customer service and honesty.

What customers say:

Usually I'm lazy and can't be bothered to leave feedback. But I definitely will in this case. Someone who can actually grade properly? A real rarity. Truly nice item I'll definitely be keeping. Heavy duty....

Received LP today. Very well packaged. It certainly is in remarkable condition. I've never seen one like this in 40 years of collecting. Looks like it was kept in a vault since it was released. Like buying it new in 1967. Incredible.

I literally could not be happier with the despatch, packing and delivery of my item, which exceeded all expectation. The album itself was in pristine condition, absolutely as described, and had obviously been treated with great care during it's time with PiC. Unreservedly recommended.

Record received quickly and in excellent condition as advertised + well protected from damage in transit. No problems whatsoever, a highly recommended vendor.
Pigg in clover have got to be the quickest service I've received - do they sleep - well pleased and will certainly use again.

Super fast Shipping, very nicely packed and perfect item, as described. Another great buy from pigginclover, look forward to the next purchase! A++++

The quality of the vinyl is great. - And it arrived almost a week before I was told it would. I'm highly recommending this seller.
