Beautiful example of an original first press 1968 US White Album.
This is something a bit different - American made and hard to find here in the UK.
This is from my own personal collection, which I am now downsizing. It's only been played once in the last five or six years and has been in storage for the rest of the time.
It's complete and numbered (1214472 - many US copies had prefacing the numbers instead of 'No') and in really excellent all round condition - it's the nicest US copy I've ever seen. I bought it myself and had it shipped over from the states. It was pressed in Jacksonville.
I'll give you as honest and detailed breakdown as possible, so you know what you're getting:
The cover is lovely, just a tiny bit of creasing here and there (mainly the top right and left edges - pictured). The American sleeves were more cheaply made than their UK counterparts and have often come apart over the years. This, therefore, for its age, is really, really nice. It's pretty much still white (they're often brown and stained by this point). Slight blemish to the back. It's side-opening, as the American originals were.
The vinyl is fabulous - barely played with hardly any scuffs or hairlines.It's obviously been very well looked after over the years. The labels are excellent - no signs of spindle wear at all. They play cleanly all the way through.
The inners sleeves are plain white, standard issue with US copies (UK inners were black) and, again, just great. No splits or tears.
The four stills are all excellent. The poster is excellent too - no rips or tears.
Overall this is a really very good (for its age) American White Album. You won't find many US - or UK for that matter - examples nicer than this. A bit of a reluctant sale for me but it's just sat in the spare bedroom not being loved(!). So it's time to let it go.
