Description
A sale from my vinyl collection. I bought this copy in 1968 and until a few days ago it has been stored upright for nearly 20 years
It is a first press mono recording in a Garrod & Lofthouse top-opening cover complete with black inner sleeves. These have no tears but one has a 15cm/6in split along its left hand edge. The cover has no tears but there is wear to the bottom right corners and to a small section of the spine. The cover has a few tiny marks, which are noticeable only on closer inspection, and whilst there is some slight discolouration there is no “Yellowing”. Whilst there is some circular “Ridging” due to the vinyl inside, this is in no way obvious, as you will see from my photographs. The four glossy photographs of John, George, Paul & Ringo are as good as the day the album was purchased and still have the covering protective card. The poster is nearly as good with only the odd tiny split on some of the edges of the folds. Again, please look at my photographs to check this.
The vinyl has surface marks and on playing there are some crackles and pops but no stylus jumping or sticking. Many tracks have no noise caused by the surface marks on the vinyl. However if you wanted to listen to this album in perfect condition I suspect that you would have the C.D. in stereo!
Numbers & letters stamped in the vinyl at the lead out groove are as follows: -
Side 1. XEX709-1 GGH (A1 33 3 10 I think, in a “vertical”
Configuration.)
Side 2. XEX710-2 GGL
Side 3. XEX711-1 RH (2)
Side 4. XEX711-1 RH (1)
The labels are in good condition and there is no spindle wear.
