Description

Here is my very rare original mono pressing of The Beatles White Album, No. 0124613.

The gatefold sleeve itself is in good condition considering its age, maintaining its reflective quality (I've just noticed my reflection makes a guest appearance in the cover photo!). The poster/lyric sheet is in extremely good condition (the Beatles photos aren’t included with this auction).

The labels have the desirable ‘Sold in UK’ statement on them and are extremely clean and unmarked. The album comes with original black liners with some tearing around the openings on one side, but otherwise are in good condition.

 

I haven’t been able to play the album for a while due to lack of turntable, but grading it visually and from memory, I would grade the vinyl as generally good. There are light surface marks throughout the vinyl (which translate to occasional pops and clicks from memory) but there is a deeper scratch of 1cm on side 3 (Sexy Sadie I believe), which is noticeable on playing throughout the duration of the scratch. The vinyl maintains much of its original sheen (although I’m sure would benefit from some cleaning).
