Very early 1st day print cover that was among the first batch covers containing the numbers beginning with 0000101 to about 0215000 with the lead zeros and no prefixing, which Capitol Records assigned to its Los Angeles, California pressing plant. Laminated glossy gatefold cover contains the embossed "The Beatles" banner and "0004354” number in the lower right-hand corner. Very often, in our life we come across LP covers that are in horrible condition. Such a barbarous handling is hard to explain and the cover of this copy, which initially was sold at an estate sale, was a typical example of this. It took a lot of time and effort in order to reinvigorate the second life into it. It was hard for us to list it up for an auction not because it contains an extremely low number, but because now it’s in beautiful condition. The main problem of the cover’s condition was the word written with a thick black marker in the upper left-hand corner on the front and even when it comes to this we almost managed to cope with this problem. Nevertheless, it’s still readable and in this situation we’re offering the most optimal solution. As a bonus to this cover, we’re including an original 4" x 4¾" “The Beatles” song title hype sticker. If you decide to affix it to the cover then it will fully cover the remains of the writing on the cover. The way it will look, you can see on some of the photos. Extremely low number, an original hype sticker, very early 1st print labels with all of the 7 spelling errors and complete set of memorabilia featuring a very rare green color divider is what you’ll get into your collection by purchasing this copy. The set of promotional extra materials coming with this copy includes a large double-sided 23" x 34" color poster featuring a rights statement on the lyrics side with the second line of the statement reading "© Apple Records," Four 8" x 10" portrait photos, one of each Beatle, containing the "Printed in USA" logo in the lower left-hand corner, and a 8" x 10" green separator sheet. These blank sheets of paper of different colors were used to separate the sets of photos at the factory. 1st misprint Apple Records labels with the Capitol Records logo and all of the 7 spelling errors on sides 1,2, 4 which were corrected on later copies of the album. Thick glossy vinyl contains the first matrix numbers in the runout groove: Side 1 - SWBO 1-101-J47; Side 2 - SWBO-2-101-J45#3; Side 3 - SWBO 3-101-J47#3; Side 4 - SWBO 4 - 101-J44#2. The album comes with the original Apple Records plain white inner sleeves.

I grade the cover as strong Very Good Plus. It's very clean and doesn't contain any ring wear or edge splits, having some light scuffing and wear on the spine, a little bit of soiling on the corners, a couple of light creases on the back along with some light age discoloration spots. The gatefold interior is in Excellent Minus condition. I grade the vinyl as strong Very Good Plus. It has some very light surface hairlines and scuffs from the original inner sleeves that are in Near Mint Minus condition. The very clean labels are in Near Mint Minus condition and are scuff- and wear-free. The memorabilia set is in Near Mint Minus condition. The vinyl sounds great with a punchy and vivid Stereo sound, only having some very light background noise, which becomes more evident during the quiet passages and in between the songs. It's most likely it's just a static and will get reduced or go away completely if the record is professionally cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine.
