A lovely example here
Comes complete with all four photos and poster in great condition, and also the photo spacer. The inner sleeves are both in great condition, and I have provided two brand new poly lined inner sleeves so that the original flimsy black inners can be preserved.
The outer sleeve
Numbered 0288564. There is no writing, or splits. It's a really strong clean example, which has maintained most of it's "white" appearance and hasn't suffered from age related yellowing. Theres some minor foxing to the top openings, but only in keeping with age related use. There is some laminate lifting along the spine, but no splits there either. Seems to be quite a wide spine. All text is legible, but a little feint in places.
I'm happy to grade the sleeve VG+
The vinyl
When I initially took the records from the sleeve, I saw scratches and feared the worst. However, I have cleaned them both and I'm really happy with how they both play.
(For honesty and transparency) There are some long, fine scratches to each side, but I've played them through on my Rega RP1. No skips, repeats, or major clicking. You get minor surface noise and crackles in quieter packages, but I think it/they sound like a VG+/VG+ record. Some tracks sound breathtaking. In many places its one of the best copies I've had my hands on, and I've sold many MONO white albums on eBay for £200+ in the past.
So visually I grade VG for the noticeable scratches. but sound wise, as the scratches aren't deep enough to cause disruption to the music, it sounds VG+.
Labels
Sides 1&2 do not display 'EMI recording', whereas 3&4 do. Some biro initials on sides 2&3 unfortnately.
