You are viewing an original copy of The Beatles "White Album". It's a stereo, top opener addition with an extremely low serial number, No 0014722. Making it one of the first 15,000 copies to be sold of an album that eventually sold millions worldwide. More info about all the other serial no's and codes can be seen on the photos provided.
It is in excellent condition considering it's almost forty years old. The cover has a few marks here and there but nothing serious, it's still in one piece and showing no signs of coming apart. The two black inner sleaves are in good condition but each have split down one edge, making them both now open on two sides not just one.
The records themselves are in excellent condition, there are a few paper scuff marks but no scratches. I've listened to this album more times than i can remember and i know for sure it doesn't skip or jump at any point.
The poster is in perfect condition, no marks or rips anywhere, just the creases from folding. There is no splitting on any of the fold points.
Sadly the portrait posters are missing.
My dad bought this album on the morning of Friday, 22 november 1968, the day it was officially released, at HMV, Oxford Street, London. He has owned it ever since, this album has had one careful owner from new. The poster has never been hung or displayed, just folded and left in the sleeve. He gave the 4 portrait posters to an ex-girlfriend back in the seventies, the idiocy of a man in love!!!
The first million copies of this album had an individual number stamped into the cover 0000001 - 1000000. The number of this album is 0014722, it's an extremely low number. Most other copies i've seen for sale classed as having a low number are somewhere between 100000 - 500000. This is an extremely early copy.
I had it valued a few months ago at £120 - £150, and that's without the 4 smaller posters.
