Description

Rare The Beatles "The Beatles" (White Album) double LP with large orange hype sticker affixed to the cover!  Cover is numbered with lead character 'DOT' 0896486. This is indicative of a first-run cover.
The incredibly rare sticker, alone, has been valued at $900.00 in Perry Cox's Beatles Price Guide.  As he explains, this is a: " 6-inch by 5-inch orange sticker with black print reading 'The Beatles New Album - Featuring' ".  
I have never before seen for sale/auction an LP with one of these large stickers affixed, let alone one in as wonderful condition as this!
The LP pressing is 101.SR2(c) -- Apple label with Capitol Records logo; Corrected song titles; Jacksonville plant. Issued in late 1968 or early 1969.
Includes 4 photos -- one of each Beatle (John, Paul, George, and Ringo).  No poster included.
Condition of the items:
1) Sticker: Original orange hype sticker affixed to the cover. Color is still very vibrant. Tiniest of tear on the upper right, maybe 0.25". Very, very mild soiling, consistent with what is seen on a typical White Album.  2) Cover: Surprisingly very white and retains much of its original gloss! Little ringwear, little soiling. Embossed "The Beatles" name looks great. Some small indentations along the lower front cover. A few 'browning' spots along the edges. Lower-left of rear cover has small spot of paper loss (about the size of a nickel). Spine is intact and looks great! Lower seams have small splits in middle (~1") and at edge (~1.5"). Upper front seam is fully split. Upper rear seam with small split in middle (~1.5") 3) LPs (sides 1/2/3/4): VG- / VG-- / VG- / VG-. Clearly the vinyl is not the item of interest here. In rough-ish shape with multiple surface scratches.
These items will be shipped incredibly carefully. Rest assured. Vinyl will be housed outside of the cover.
