Description

An original stereo 1st press of THE WHITE ALBUM on UK Apple. Matrix 1/1/1/2. Please note that all labels mention 'Sold In the UK..' and this is indicative of 1st press. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original stereo toploading 1st issue embossed and numbered sleeve [No.0316845]. Also included are both original black inner sleeves. Sorry, NO photos or poster.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Do expect a few light marks each side, and a couple of superficial trails - nothing heavy or likely to cause significant issue. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Ok, so first things first....lovely clean playback. And you're really gonna need that on the White Album as many tracks are paired down acoustic...a bit of interference and it's game-over! A great rendition for the most part with just a touch of light static momentarily in a couple of tracks per disc, and perhaps just a couple errant ticks in a couple of isolated spots. But by and large a very high standard with little to complain at. Please note two labels have been autographed.
Cover (Ex-) Very nice looking cover which has avoided much of the usual ageing process. Nice clean front and back with just light handling in places. The interior continues this theme with pretty much faultless presentation. Edge wear is reasonably light for an original WA. The spine is very nice too with most of the text seemingly legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inners (Vg+/Vg) A couple of tape repairs at the die-cut central hole. But no splits at the seam edges.
