Description
An interesting copy which appears to be from early 1969. Both records still show the 'Sold In the UK' text with 'An EMI Recording' NOT in brackets. The Sold in UK text was removed soon after and 'An EMI...text was soon to be housed in brackets. Both vinyls are solid and have the feel of the 1968 press with darker green Apple labels and still have the black inner sleeves which were replaced around this time with white sleeves. All in all this places the record after 1968 and before 1970 so likely early to mid 1969.
Interestingly the sleeve is an un numbered copy with no flip backs, a few un numbered copies did come out in the late 60's, again it has the same feel and look as the 1968 pressings.
Condition
Both vinyls are in really nice condition, graded at strong Excellent apart from Side 2 which has a mark to the first track which I've taken a picture of, this side is graded at VG but is still totally listenable though has a little background crackle and a couple of ticks . All labels are clean and the record plays through no problems apart from Side 2 which has a little light background crackle & a couple of ticks just in that area just to note.
Visually the records have a couple of light scuffs to Side 1, one Mark to Side 2 as mentioned and a few light scuffs to Side 4.
Original black inner sleeves - one is a little tatty to the top etc, the other is Ex-. The Main gatefold sleeve is tatty with spine damage as pictured and a nick to the bottom. All four photos are in Excellent condition and the poster is a little tatty with a crease tear underneath George and some crease wear to folds.
Even though this copy has spine damage and wear its still presentable and the vinyls are nice.
Please see my other rare records and positive feedback.
