The Beatles    WHITE ALBUM mono   PMC 7067/8      No. 0036316

 

UK first pressing 1968      XEX 709/710/711/712-1

 

COVER: Discoloured ‘yellowish’ gatefold cover with ringwear, scuff marks, corner and edge wear and general handling wear. Very clean on the inside. Good, stong flipbacks. No writing, stickers, and the spine is unsplit with some slight laminate loss at the top and bottom. Good lowish number, 0036316 clearly printed in the bottom right hand corner. Overall VERY GOOD.

 

RECORDS: Vinyl is generally clear and clean with surface scratches only. Some spindle markings visible on labels but not excessive. Plays through with minor background clicks in some places.  Slight skip on both ‘Blackbird’ and ‘Revolution 1’ (I use a very light stylus and tonearm weight so this may not happen on another turntable, but these skips are very minor) Very Good audio. Well played records but they have been generally looked after and handled carefully over the years.

 

LABELS:  Both labels do not state ‘An EMI RECORDING’. No writing, stickers, generally clean and unmarked with visible spindle markings when tipped to light but these are not excessive. The label on side 3 has a few ‘blob’ marks but these are not significant and only visible at a certain light.

 

The original BLACK INNERS are in very good shape. Some fraying at the top where the record goes in and small rips along the edges. The centre die cuts are intact with minor folding.

 

The 4 PORTRAIT PHOTOS are clean and excellent as is the fold out POSTER. As far as I can see no rips tears or marks on either item.
