I grade the cover as somewhere between Strong Very Good Plus and Excellent Minus. It’s very clean and doesn’t have any writing or splits. The ring wear is almost absent, except for some light hints of it at the top of the front and back cover. Some very light soiling on the corners and several very small barely noticeable indentation marks on the back cover. The rigid spine contains a fully readable text. The gatefold interior is also very clean and is in Near Mint Minus condition. The original red background Vee-Jay Records inner sleeves and poster are in Excellent condition.

I grade the “Introducing…The Beatles” vinyl as Good and the “Golden Hits of the Four Seasons” as Very Good Plus for Side 1 and Very Good for Side 2. Comparing the condition of these two records one can easily see who ended up being the winner of the battle. The “Introducing…The Beatles” vinyl contains many marks and hairlines along with scuffs from the inner sleeve. The labels are also somewhere between Very Good Plus and Excellent minus having some light scuffing and several light spindle marks. The vinyl plays well throughout , but has background noise and a series of light pops in some parts. The “Golden Hits of the Four Seasons” record has some very light surface hairlines along with scuffs from the inner sleeve with Side 1 having much less of them. The labels are in Excellent Minus condition, very clean and are scuff- and wear-free. The vinyl plays very well, having some light background noise, which becomes more evident during the quiet passages and in between the songs. Some of the background noise on both records is most likely static and could possibly get reduced if the records are professionally cleaned using a VPI cleaning machine.
