Description
If you're looking, you most likely know what this is. I will copy a description taken from discogs.com about it below. The condition is fantastic and near mint. I've personally only ever played Abbey Road & Sgt. Peppers once each, and both play without a flaw to be found. Visually, I cannot detect any problems on any vinyl. Regarding the condition of the 14 album sleeves, all are in excellent shape with only the slightest of marks on an edge or corner here and there. The container itself is in very good plus to excellent condition. The only blemish being the slight tear in the covering above the first "I" in "ORIGINAL MASTER RECORDING" on the left side of the box (if you're looking at the swinging doors head on, it'd be the side to your left). Please review the photos and don't be afraid to ask for more if you need them. I sell only to the lower 48 United States unless the buyer contacts me before buying. Free shipping. I will wrap heavily in bubble wrap and use a few layers of 3/4" foam around that. I'll also use a double walled box and will insure it for an adequate amount. I will also do otherwise if the customer contacts me before buying to discuss. I'll miss this one.
Taken from discogs... a bit about the set:
The Beatles: The Collection was a vinyl box set of every Beatles album remastered at half speed from the original stereo master recordings, except for Magical Mystery Tour which was mastered from Capitol Records' submasters with the last three tracks in rechanneled stereo.[1] Each album was pressed on virgin vinyl by the Victor Company of Japan ensuring the best sound quality possible. The album covers were replaced with photographs of tape boxes and log sheet. The original album covers were included in a booklet which also featured a certificate of authenticity as this was a limited edition collection. Missing from this collection was all of the Beatles' singles that did not appear on their original UK albums.
Released with much anticipation in early October 1982, The Collection was lauded by critics and fans worldwide for the superb sound, and sold-out completely within the first year. MFSL repressed a second run of the Beatles Box Set for a total production run of 25,000 over the next two years or until October 1985.
