- I assume it is purple label as that is the timing that I acquired it. I was sales rep for Capitol when we released the CD versions in the eighties.

The Gold Stamped Promo Beatle Albums are so desirable because of their rarity and their place in Beatle history. These were the last of the vinyl promo LPs sent out by Capitol Records in the mid to late 80s. I was a territory sales rep in the 80s and received these just as we released The Beatles’ catalog on CD and promo vinyl was no more (for the most part).
