Description

The Beatles Story STBO-2222 - 2 LP STEREO Capitol Records - Still Sealed! NM/M. Condition is New. Shipped with USPS Media Mail.

This is truly a major Beatles collectors item. First off this album is hard to find (in good shape) anyway, but to get it still in the original shrink wrap, sealed (!), is pretty amazing. Because it is sealed it's impossible to know what Capitol label its on. Most likely its the mid-60's rainbow label, but with a bit of research on Discogs, it could also be on the Capitol Orange label. Either way it's a good. The orange label with this title is the rarer of the two.

The records are still sealed so they are brand new, giving them a MINT grading.

The sleeve is NEAR MINT only because it has a hole punch through the upper right corner (which usually indicated the album was a promo). All of the corners and spine are in great sharp shape. Take a look at the photos.

Here's some more info on the album:

The Beatles' Story is the sixth album by the Beatles in the United States, issued on 23 November 1964 by Capitol Records in both mono and stereo formats (although the mono was merely a fold-down of the stereo mix). It is a documentary double album featuring interviews, press conferences, snippets of original or orchestral versions of Beatles songs with voice-overs. The easy listening excerpts were created, produced and arranged by Stu Phillips with the Hollyridge Strings originally recorded for the first Capitol Records' Beatles Song Book.[1]

This documentary album was issued in response to interviews of the Beatles collected on the Vee-Jay Records release, Hear the Beatles Tell All.
