Description
The Beatles "Song, Pictures, And Stories Of The Fabulous Beatles"
This is an original US vinyl pressing on Vee Jay VJS 1092 from 1964. This is the hard to find Stereo pressing. This was issued by Vee Jay Records to rip off record buyers in the later half of 1964. It had the exact same record and songs as 'Introducing The Beatles'. It came out in this completely different cover and most record buyers did not notice that it had the same songs.
The cover is completely original. It has the 3/4 fold over front cover. It has "Stereo" printed in light blue letters above the word "Fabulous'. The record is completely original too. It is a true stereo pressing with the words 'stereo' printed on the label below the side 1 and side 2. ( there are no counterfeit records that say 'stereo' on the label ) It's on the original black label with VJ in white brackets and the color band around the edge. ( it has all of the colors in the color bar) The space in the run off area is 7/8 inch. "MR" in a circle is stamped in the inner groove. The matrix numbers are : side 1 : 63-3402-S and side 2 : 63-3403-S. This is the version 2 copy of 'Introducing The Beatles' , which was issued in this cover.
Overall Condition is : Cover is VG- / Record is VG-
The cover is VG-. It has cover wear and some ring wear. It has seam wear and corner wear. The spine is missing paper at the top and bottom edges. There were small seam splits, but they have been repaired. There is no writing. The vinyl looks VG- and it plays VG-. There are light scuffs and light scratches. There are 25 pops at the end of song 2 on side one. It plays all the way through with out any skips. The labels are clean, but have lots spindle marks.
