THE BEATLES - 'SOMETHING NEW'
This rare EXPORT edition of their 1964 Capitol LP was pressed in the UK in July 1965 on the yellow & black Parlophone label: CPCS 101

Both labels have 'The Gramophone Co..' rims with a 'KT' purchase tax code on the side 1 label.

Matrix numbers: YEEX 7-B12 & YEEX 8-B12

Stamper codes: 1/O & 1/A

Vinyl weight: 155g

Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover, with original rice-paper lined inner-sleeve.

Labels: EXCELLENT +

Both are clean & undamaged with just a couple of stray spindle trails around each unworn centre hole.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Extremely clean deep-gloss playing surfaces where the only marks visible in strong daylight are a few small scratches in the side 2 run-out (as seen in the above images), but nothing on the playing surfaces themselves. Closer inspection beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals a few harmless wispy paper hairlines consistent with the few times this disc has been removed from its inner-sleeve.

Sound Quality: EXCELLENT +

This fine sounding copy has received minimal careful play and is free from any groove/play wear or any other significant audible wear throughout. My play-check detected a little low-level vinyl background between tracks, but no major faults or distractions.

Cover: VERY GOOD +

A respectable example which bears moderate handling and storagewear. The front panel is clean & glossy with a handful of 'thumbnail' wrinkles towards the opening edge but no other significant signs of use.

There is some light wear to the corner tips and opening edges but no tears or feathering. The rear panel is white and apart from a rather obvious number in black marker pen free from any other major blemishes.

There is a small stress mid-way down the spine, but both seams are smooth & fully intact.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
