What you should know: The Beatles Something New is a must have just for historical reasons alone! It was released on Capitol ST 2108 on July 20th 1964 (the year The Beatles touched down at JFK AND performed on the Ed Sullivan Show for the first time). It spent 9 weeks at #2 on the Billboard 200 behind the #1 ( you guessed it) A Hard Day's Night. It sold over a million copies in less than 6 months! And sadly, was probably in the many collection point burnings that swept across the Southern U.S. (a few years later in 1967) over Lennon's remarks about Christ. 1964 was a big year for The Beatles and Americans as well! The start of Beatlemania on U.S. soil! The album is factory sealed!! Some would consider this mint across the board but there is a small separation in the shrink wrap on the bottom right front cover (see pics) which makes me grade it just less than the highest score possible. A real timepeice album for anyone!
