THE BEATLES - 'SOMETHING NEW'
This 1st German MONO pressing dates from September 1964 and was the final Beatles LP to be released in mono in that country
It is on the green & white Odeon label: O 83756
Machine stamped matrix numbers: XBEX 50059-1 & XBEX 50060-1
Vinyl weight: 156g
Housed within a front laminated German printed mono cover

Both are clean & bright with a small scratch to the side 1 label but no further major blemishes.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Both playing surfaces are clean retain all of their deep-gloss shine with just 2/3 small surface marks on side 1 in strong daylight. Side 2 is unmarked. Closer examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp adds only a few wispy paper hairlines & a sparkling rainbow shine but no further blemishes or wear.
Sound Quality: VERY GOOD
This copy received a moderate amount of play but I did not detect any major deterioration to the sound quality overall. Some low-level background is audible during quieter moments & between tracks and the aforementioned surface marks produce a few moderate clicks at the end of 'I'll Cry Instead' and for half of 'Matchbox'.
Cover: VERY GOOD
A firm & fully intact example which bears moderate handling & storage wear without any major faults.
The glossy front panel has numerous small/light wrinkles to the laminate & some storage rubbing. The corners have evidence of having been 'touched-up' but both opening edges are free from any tears or missing paper. The unlaminated rear panel has general handling/age discolouration & there is a 3cm scuff to the lower seam.
The spine is intact and still readable. No original inner-sleeve is present.
