Description

This is an acetate recording of three songs - "She Loves You" by The Beatles, and is backed with The Rip Chords "Hey Little Cobra" and The Ideals "Gorilla." Condition is Ex7. It has been kept clean for over 40 years and is a definate Beatle's collector's dream. This acetate is dated 1-9-64. Acetates were used in the past as proofs and/or pre-release reviews for both the artists, the recording company

and the producers. They have a familiar odor that will persist for generations due to the chemical processes used to manufacture them and the mustard color sleeves used to preserve them. Once they were listened to a specific number of times, they were usually discarded or recycled due to the aluminum plate used. This is a piece of music history as for the most part, only a select few were selected to listen to the pre-mastering acetate: the artists, producers, etc, and they are very rare!
