The Beatles
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
This is the UK 1st STEREO Press of 'Revolver' by The Beatles. This rare press has the very earliest YEX 637-1 / YEX 638-1 matrix and the label includes the 'Sold In UK' and 'Gramophone Company' label text. The sleeve is the laminated flipback Garrod & Lofthouse.
The sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. The laminate is extremely flat and has hardly any creasing or lift. It looks virtually new on the inside of the gatefold cover. The spine area does show a little wear though all writings are present. I'm grading it VG+ for this reason.
The record is in Near Mint condition. The vinyl still has the most incredible original bright gloss, there are no play marks at all. It is absolutely superb. On playing the sound is rich, exceptionally vibrant and as clear as the day it was pressed. Both labels show a few spindle marks under light but I would hazard that the record has been played no more than half a dozen times. There is virtually no whitening of the spindle hole, Side One showing hardly any spindle marks and just a few on Side Two. Other than that both labels are Mint.
The original gradated 'fool' inner sleeve is included, no seam splitting, a nice Excellent. The cut-out insert is simply in Mint condition.
Truly difficult to find much better
