Description
This is the 1st UK Mono pressing of the album "Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band" by The Beatles on the Parlophone label catalogue number PMC 7027. Matrix numbers: Side 1, XEX 637-1. Side 2, XEX 638-1. Labels have the Gramophone Company rim and KT tax ebossed on side 2. The vinyl on both sides retains full factory sheen, side 1 has only a couple of light sleeve removal lines. Side 2 has a couple of light sleeve removal lines and a small none sounding scuff at the start of track one (You do have to look hard for this). Labels are remarkably clean and display only moderate spindle lines. The original flame inner is in nice shape with no splits. It does have a little staining and the catalogue number written (small) in one corner. The outer gatefold outer sleeve is in great shape with a nice strong, undamaged spine. There are only a couple of light thumb creases to the sleeve which has retained it's sheen and bright colours. The Sgt Pepper card insert is in MINT condition. This item has been carefully looked after and had it not been for the almost invisible small scuff on side 2, it would grade NEAR MINT.
Overall a rare item in remarkably great shape and must grade EX+
