Description

A '70s Japanese (which means practically audiophile quality) reissue of the mono mix of the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper on blindingly red vinyl. As tastefully presented in the scan. As noted in the Beatles' Recording Sessions and elsewhere over the years, the Beatles only paid attention to the mono mixing and mastering of the albums up to Sgt. Pepper, usually leaving the stereo versions up to George Martin and the engineers at EMI. In this case, almost all of the songs are different mixes from the stereo, for example - with Lovely Rita featuring different effects on John's vocal, Mr. Kite with an organ overdub not on the stereo, and the Sgt. Pepper refrain allowing you to hear whatever Paul's yelling about not wanting to go, that was buried in the stereo mix.

The LP was seldom played (5 times? I had a UK original mono and usually played that one) in the 25-ish years since bought; the vinyl is mint, the cover is mint, even the paper band around it is mint.

Only the present owner is less-than-mint. Though the Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco are mints.

I'LL CORRECT THE ABOVE : It was 1982, I'm told, not the 70s. Which makes more sense as I actually had money in 1982, unlike most of the 70s.

NOTE : MINT, WITH OBI.

Please note: The below note saying "Money Order only" is wildly inaccurate. PayPal is equally acceptable.

I just forgot to delete the "Money Order Only" line when I added PayPal. It was that kind of day.
