Description
Sgt Pepper 1st press from summer 1967 on UK Parlophone. Matrix 1/1. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in the original gatefold cover printed by Garrod & Lofthouse. There's, unfortunately, no original inner sleeve or cut-outs.
Vinyl (Ex-) Has been well cared for and has only seen moderate use. Under close inspection there are a number of light marks - so please don't expect a mint looking copy! A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is pretty minimal. There's a touch of light static in the odd place and a mark across 'She's Leaving....' which causes a few light ticks, but other than this it really does play back very very well indeed. Sgt Pepper sounds awesome today in Mono, and after 50 years of use, this LP still amazes!
Cover (Ex-) Has been clearly looked after with a nice and shiny front and rear. Edge wear is light with just a bit on the spine - the text is still all readable though. The interior is in immaculate condition. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
