The Beatles. Second Album. Export UK. 2nd press. CPCS 103.
One-box EMI.
This is the second pressing of this highly sought-after export album which was available from November 1969 until 1970, and was replaced by the two-box EMI version
Black label with one silver EMI logo and silver print. “The Gramophone Co Ltd…” printed at the start perimeter print and “Made In GT. Britain” lower text.
Vinyl condition: Surface marks when held up to the light. Some scratches. Some track scuffs following the curve of the track. Still lots of shine. Would grade as VG+
Cover condition: Front laminate still with plenty of gloss and small amount of creasing. Robust spine with clear lettering. Flat edge to the opening is dirty where the laminate line ends. Back cover has what looks like some light traces of tea (or coffee) stains (see pix). Dirt lines on flip backs and some wear and cuts at the sleeve opening. (see pix). All in all VG+ front cover. VG back cover.
Matrix numbers: Side 1: YEEX 110-A9. Side 2: YEEX 111-A9.
Earliest mother /stamper numbers: 1R/1A.
