This German EXPORT pressing of their 2nd Capitol LP is from September 1964 & was pressed for sale to U.S. army base personnel there

It is on the white, red & gold Odeon label: ZTOX 5558

Machine stamped matrix numbers: XBEX 50053-1 & XBEX 50054-1

Vinyl weight: 162g

Housed within a front laminated German printed export cover complete with original inner-sleeve

A bright & undamaged set with some light handling marks on side 1 but no writing or missing paper on either.

Visual: VERY GOOD +

Both playing surfaces retain their deep-gloss shine with several light, non-feelable hairlines on side 1 & a few inner-sleeve removal marks, but no nothing major. Closer examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveals adds only highlights these minor blemishes, adding little more than a sparkling rainbow shine.

Sound Quality: VERY GOOD

This copy has been played many times and some playwear is audible on the two innermost tracks. My playcheck detected no heavy clicks or any jumps, repeats or other major faults. In fact, the huge cavernous sound of the original U.S. mixes used on this pressing masks most of the audible shortcomings very well.

Cover: EXCELLENT

A strong and fully intact example bearing light handling & storage wear, with no significant or major faults.

The gloss front panel is clean & undamaged with light storage rubbing and 3 small 'thumbnail' wrinkles towards the opening edge. There is light corner and opening edge wear but no tears or splits anywhere. The unlaminated rear panel has some minor age-toning with no significant blemishes or any writing or missing paper.

Both seams are smooth & unsplit and the spine is unworn and clearly readable.

Inner-sleeve: GOOD

General storage wrinkling & two tears around the central window.
