Background...
Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is the eighth studio album by the English rock band the Beatles. Released on 26 May 1967,[nb 1] Sgt. Pepper is regarded by musicologists as an early concept album that advanced the roles of sound composition, extended form, psychedelic imagery, record sleeves, and the producer in popular music. The album had an immediate cross-generational impact and was associated with numerous touchstones of the era's youth culture, such as fashion, drugs, mysticism, and a sense of optimism and empowerment. Critics lauded the album for its innovations in songwriting, production and graphic design, for bridging a cultural divide between popular music and high art, and for reflecting the interests of contemporary youth and the counterculture.
The vinyl is lovely... It has a superior glossy sheen and sits completely flat with no warping, clean labels and good spindle holes!!! Side 2 is NR MINT, Side 1 has a couple of hairlines. Spindle trails can be seen at an angle.
The outer GATEFOLD cover has no splits or tears, has age related wear to the corners/edges/spine as to be expected for an item of this age. Has some crinkles to the outer protective film. DISPLAYS THE ULTRA RARE "PATENTS PENDING" to the bottom right of the outer gatefold!!
Green Peter Blake Cutouts are excellent as seem to have always been kept within the gatefold.
OVERALL A GREAT PIECE TO ADD TO YOUR MUSICAL COLLECTION!!!
