Description
Here is a SEALED copy of the Beatles LP "Rubber Soul" on Parlophone PCS 3075 from the 1970's(?).
I indicated that the LP is from the 1970's because of the Capitol Records sticker in the lower left of the back cover. At that time. people in the U.S. were beginning to buy British pressed Beatles LP's because they sounded the way the Beatles wanted them to sound. Capitol was notorious for altering the way Beatles LP's sounded by adding reverb, compressing, leaving out songs, etc. So people were turning to all sorts of sources to obtain original British pressings. After awhile Capitol wanted to get in on the act and so they imported the British pressings since they were a part of EMI. When they did this, they added the sticker you see in the upper left corner. I remember seeing Beatles, Pink Floyd and other British artist LP's with same sticker as on this LP and I believe it was in the later 1970's.
So this is a semi original pressing of "Rubber Soul." If it is from the 1970's, and I believe it is, it was produced only about 10 years after the original in 1965! It has no bar codes. It is not a remastered version.
It's analog!
The shrink wrap is nice and tight all around and it doesn't have any rips or tears.
Should be exciting putting a 50 year old Beatles LP on the turntable for the first time!
