Description
The Beatles – Rubber Soul
Label: Parlophone – PMC 1267 Format: Vinyl, LP, Album, Mono, "Loud Cut" Country: UK1965
First “Loud Cut” pressing. December 3, 1965. “Loud Cut” matrices: XEX 579-1 & XEX 580-1. When “Rubber Soul” was initially mixed it was slightly different to how we hear it today. These early mixes only ever appeared in mono and are distinguished by the matrix numbers XEX 579-1 / XEX 580-1 in the deadwax. It’s argued that these early presses were unbalanced with a muddy bass and with an edgy, aggressive vocal sound. Since these copies seemed to lack body the decision was made to halt production whilst the mother plates were re-cut. The more common 2nd pressing of “Rubber Soul” has the “normal” cut matrixes: XEX 579-4 / XEX 580-4 or XEX 579-5 / XEX 580-5

_____________________________________________________________________________________________________ PLEASE BEAR IN MIND THAT THIS LP IS AN AGED, USED ITEM, AND WILL NOT LOOK OR PLAY LIKE NEW. I always try to give a fair overview of condition and a selection of photos, which give an indication of what you are buying/bidding on.
I always play test and give a fair appraisal of how the LP sounds on my system; this is always a subjective thing, and so may vary on others - If there are any flaws or jumps detected I will mention this and it will be reflected in the price/starting bid; NB: sometimes items may benefit from further cleaning etc.
Postage is as stated, ususally, UK, 2nd class signed for and international sales are through eBay's GSP (global shipping program)
My gradings are through the Goldmine standard, and as accurate as I can make them (although please bear in mind it is still subjective and mistakes can occur ) :) - please let me know if there are any issues
