THE BEATLES - 'RUBBER SOUL'


This variation is the easily the hardest to find of all UK pressings of this album.

It is a 1968 2nd STEREO pressing on black & yellow Parlophone label: PCS 3075

The side 1 label misspells 'Norwegian Wood' as 'Norweigian Wood'.


Matrix numbers: YEX 178-3 & YEX 179-3

Stamper codes: 2/RR & 2/GH

Vinyl weight: 139g


Housed in a front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed stereo cover.

Complete with its original red & white EMI advertising inner-sleeve.

Both are clean & bright with minimal centre hole wear.

Visual: EXCELLENT

Clean, deep-gloss playing surfaces which apart from some harmless wispy paper hairlines from the inner-sleeve visible beneath halogen light, bear no further noticeable blemishes or wear.

Audio: EXCELLENT

This fine sounding disc has received minimal careful play and the sound quality throughout and is free from any significant audible issues. Some light vinyl background is audible on the run-ins and between tracks, but apart from that and a single tick in the band before 'If I Needed Someone', there is little else to fault.

Cover: EXCELLENT -

A clean & glossy example which bears regular light handling and storagewear, but no major faults. The front panel has some light rubbing and a couple of 'thumbnails' and, a moderate bend to the lower right corner. The lower corners have light shelfwear but both opening edges are undamaged. The exposed rear panel is right & clean and free form any writing or missing paper. There is a small, almost invisible stress to the upper seam but the spine is clearly & fully worded.

Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT

Clean & bright with light handling wear only and no writing, tears or seam splits.
