Description
Up for auction is a first UK pressing of the Beatles Rubber Soul on Parlophone records from December 1965. This early mono pressing has come to be known as the ‘Loud Cut’ and is said to have a more aggressive vocal sound than later mixes. The production of these mixes was stopped and the master plates were re-cut.
Black Parlophone labels with yellow and silver matrix numbers: XEX 579-1 / XEX 580-1.
Condition: (Graded using 'Goldmine' standards)
Record: VG - This disc has clearly been to a few parties, with various light marks and scuffs on both sides. I have test played this album in full, however, and it sounds great. No skips or pops – As powerful a sound as ever!
Sleeve: G - The sleeve has also seen better days. There is a fair bit of creasing to the laminated front cover (as is often the case with popular albums made this way), there is a 1cm split/scuff on the top seam and the corners are a little bashed. The back of the sleeve has a small amount of discoloration and creasing. All of this can be seen in my photos.
Don’t miss your chance to own this great example of one of the most important albums in Rock and Roll history.
International Buyers: I am more than happy to ship worldwide, so please feel free to contact me for a shipping estimation.
