Description

An original 1st STEREO issue of RS on UK Parlophone from the charting period. Matrix 3/3. Stampers 2T/2H. 2nd mother with single letter stamper = really excellent audio provenance. Lovely solid pressing in fantastic condition. Early copies can be identified by the large font STEREO on the labels which extends just beyond the E of Parlophone. Stereo was still only just starting to push into the mainstream market as this title was released. The vinyl comes housed in an original G&L stereo cover with Decca styled inner.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In excellent condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. Beautiful lustre. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Yes - you read that correctly. I would very very rarely grade a mono at this level...hmmm practically NEVER a stereo. Difficult to imagine bettering. Intros and inbetweens are perfectly quiet. I certainly have never witnessed better - full stop. Beautiful balance, poise, and integrity. You start to hear things you're not quite sure you've heard before. Listen to the realism of the Sitar in NWood. Or the voices in the background during 'What Goes On'. Super fidelity and it digs deep into the mix like never before. Cannot fault. Even fussy tracks like NW and Michelle, or My Life.. ALL play absolutely fantastic with the lowest noise floor I've witnessed. Maybe a couple of crackles in a couple of spots per side. That is outstanding on this title. FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Ex-) Is also beautifully preserved. Lovely clean flat front without the usual issues. The rear has avoided much of the ageing process and looks superb. Slight evidence just at the spine edge - a couple of ageing spots. Spine is fully intact. Edge wear is minor. Overall - excellent. The cover retains excellent rigidity too.
Inner (Vg+) No splits. Some ageing. bag present.
